Japanese upcycling clothing designer Yuta Hosokawa, better known as READYMADE, has issued a new selection of merch in collaboration with Billie Eilish, following his work for The Weeknd. The T-shirts are inspired by Hosokawa’s love for hot rod culture and Ed Roth.
The pair of T-shirts come in white, featuring airbrush-style graphics on the front and back, each yielding a colorful twist on Ed Roth‘s cartoonish artwork. For warmer or for summer days, each long and short-sleeved T-shirts showcase a different intensely colored character and stylized recreation of Elish’s name, including one iteration in Japanese Katakana. Eilish’s lyrics are occasionally recreated alongside the other illustrations, which stay true to Roth’s gently horrific “weirdo” creations.
